SDOT unveils sketches of what the future Aurora Ave. N. may look like

This Segment 1 concept shows a center bus lane that would limit conflicts between transit and other vehicles.

The Seattle Department of Transportation wants to make Aurora Avenue North safer by reconfiguring the busy corridor. The agency has already made some improvements and on Wednesday released conceptual drawings showing potential new layouts for different segments of the roadway, from the South Lake Union neighborhood to the north city limits.
