Reno, Nevada-based Jensen Precast announced that it has acquired Shelton-based ProGlass, a manufacturer of fiberglass products for the electric utility industry. ProGlass makes lightweight fiberglass products that are easy to handle and are durable. They included fiberglass trench covers, transformer pads, box pads, switchgear box pads, ground sleeves, splice boxes and looping enclosures. ProGlass was founded in 1990 in Gig Harbor by electrical contractor Jim Holland, who observed a high demand for fiberglass products in the electric utility industry. Jensen is an independent family-owned manufacturer of infrastructure products such as precast concrete vaults, polymer concrete handholes and metal access hatches.
