Seattle sheds tower cranes, drops to No. 2 on RLB list

Seattle has seven fewer tower cranes at work than it did last fall.

The number of fixed cranes at work on construction projects across North America dropped by 9% over the third quarter of 2023, according to construction consultant Rider Levett Bucknall. Seattle shed seven cranes during the period and now has 38 at work.
