New contractor rules start July 1

OLYMPIA — The state Department of Labor and Industries filed new rules Tuesday for contractor registration.

The amendments to the contractor certificate of registration program go into effect July 1 and affect fees, definitions, penalties and bond amounts for general and specialty contractors.
