LIHI flips former Lakewood hotel to enhanced shelter

LIHI has converted a former Candlewood Suites Hotel in Lakewood into a 77-room enhanced shelter.

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) on Monday will officially open Maureen Howard Place at 10720 Pacific Hwy S.W. in Lakewood. Maureen Howard Place is a 24/7 enhanced shelter for people experiencing homelessness in Pierce County.
