North Olympic Peninsula gets $35M for sustainable timber, maritime industry

Some of the funding will support the expansion of Port Angeles’ Composite Recycling Technology Center, a facility that manufactures Advanced Cross-Laminated Timber in cooperation with the Makah Tribe.

A coalition of counties. Tribal Nations, ports and others from Washington's North Olympic Peninsula will receive approximately $35 million through a federal pilot program to drive economic development and job growth through innovation in the region's sustainable timber and maritime industries.
