Three firms vie for $150M Sea-Tac job

SEATAC — The Port of Seattle has listed three finalists to act as general contractor/construction manager for upgrades at an industrial wastewater treatment plant at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport: Hoffman Constuction of Seattle, M.A. Mortenson Company of Portland and Sundt Construction of Vancouver.

The GC/CM will install an on-site pretreatment system for glycol at the airport following significant reductions in the allowable mass loading of deicing chemicals that can be discharged to the sanitary sewer system in stormwater runoff collected from the airport's Industrial Wastewater System, according to the request for proposals.
