Equipment updates for Narrows bridge

GIG HARBOR, Pierce County — The Washington State Department of Transportation is warning drivers of oversized vehicles to plan ahead next week for travel across the Tacoma Narrows.

Starting Monday, the toll plaza oversized vehicle lane on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge will be closed overnight for the week, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Jan. 11. WSDOT says three lanes, including the oversized vehicle lane, will be closed to allow crews to replace the Good To Go! electronic tolling equipment.
