ST stations close for East Link work

SEATTLE ­— Sound Transit will temporarily suspend its Link light rail service between Westlake and SODO stations from tomorrow evening through Sunday to enable crews to perform work connecting the new East Link to the existing 1 Line.

The agency plans to resume normal operations on Monday morning. During the suspension, crews will complete the installation of the Overhead Contact System on the 2 Line. Installing and connecting the system requires power to the impacted section of the 1 Line to be suspended for system integration.
