Executive order seeks to expedite Ballard, West Seattle light rail

  • A new city office will be created to oversee the project.

    Light rail is anticipated to reach Ballard in 2029, and West Seattle by 2032.

    Mayor Bruce Harrell on Friday announced a new executive order to improve coordination of city of Seattle efforts to speed up delivery of light rail to West Seattle and Ballard, also known as the Sound Transit 3 program.
