Elliott Bay Connections’ new waterfront trail breaks ground

Construction has started with the removal of old trolley tracks and sidewalk on the east side of Alaskan Way, between Virginia Street and Blanchard Street.

Construction has begun on the Elliott Bay Connections (EBC) project that will build a new pedestrian and bicycle greenway trail on the east side of Alaskan Way, along the north end of Seattle’s central waterfront.
