Eastgate Way closure starts on Monday

BELLEVUE – Southeast Eastgate Way will close for six months between Richards Road and 139th Avenue Southeast starting Monday for a Washington State Department of Transportation fish barrier removal project on Sunset Creek.

Crews with lead contractor Atkinson Construction will excavate down to remove culverts nearly 40 feet beneath Southeast Eastgate Way that prevent fish from swimming upstream, replacing the culverts with a new bridge across the waterway.
