Workshop on heat, wildfire smoke safety

TUKWILA — With predictions for drier-than-normal weather and possibly higher temperatures this summer, the state Department of Labor & Industries is hosting a free workshop on training employees to work safely in heat and wildfire smoke.

The workshop is designed to help employers, safety managers, or anyone who employs outdoor workers plan and prepare them to work safely. The workshop is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on May 29 at 12806 Gateway Drive S. in L&I's Tukwila office training room.
