New high school ‘reflects the dedication of the Rainier Beach community'

The four-story school has solar panels and a geothermal loop and is expected to earn LEED platinum status.

Rainier Beach High School students, teachers and staff walked out of an aging 60-year-old brick building for spring break and returned a week later on April 21 to a brand new 297,000-square-foot school next door.
