L&I considers fee hikes, rule changes

TUMWATER — The state Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is proposing fee increases of 6.41% to cover operating expenses for its Contractor Registration Program.

The agency is also considering changes to the state's contractor registration rules as it implements a new Homeowner Recovery Program that starts next July, as well as changes to state contractor registration and plumbing contractor licensing rules.
