Labor shortages, uncertainty take toll on construction employment numbers

WASHINGTON — While demand for certain types of projects is boosting construction employment in some metro areas across the country, other places are struggling with worker shortages and economic uncertainty.

That's according to an analysis released Wednesday by the Associated General Contractors of America of the most recent government employment data.
