Lydig tapped to build justice center

COLVILLE, Stevens County — Stevens County announced this week it picked Lydig Construction as general contractor/construction manager to build a new 95,000-square-foot justice center in Colville, about 70 miles north of Spokane in Northeast Washington.

The project, with a guaranteed maximum price of approximately $76.8 million, will consolidate key county justice functions, including the jail, sheriff's office, district and superior courts, and the prosecutor's office, and is slated for construction on the site of the current county commissioners' office building at 230 E. Birch St.
