Completion of shore power at Husky Terminal a ‘major milestone'

Hapag-Lloyd’s Kuala Lumpur Express receives Husky Terminal’s inaugural shore-power plug-in on June 15 in Tacoma.

The Northwest Seaport Alliance's Husky Terminal at the Port of Tacoma is now the second international cargo terminal in Washington to be shore-power capable, allowing vessels to turn off their diesel engines and ‘plug-in' to the local power grid while at port.
