Work continues on Pinehurst Station

SEATTLE — Ramp and road closures at northbound Interstate-5 and Northeast 130th Street are scheduled again this weekend as crews work on the new elevated Pinehurst Station, slated to enter passenger service in 2026.

The first infill station to join the network, Pinehurst is being built on the recently opened 1 Line to Lynnwood. Absher Construction Company was awarded in 2023 a contract not to exceed $113 million for the project, once called the N.E. 130th Infill Station.
