Crews remove fish barriers on SR-161

Sixty days of right-lane and shoulder closures on both directions of the highway began Monday on SR-161 near South 370th Street as crews complete the fish barrier work.

FEDERAL WAY — Crews with Washington State Department of Transportation contractor Guy F. Atkinson Construction are replacing a fish barrier on a tributary to Hylebos Creek that runs beneath state Route 161 in Federal Way near Wild Waves Theme & Water Park.
