Apply for new tower crane permits Dec. 5

For tower cranes assembled prior to Jan. 1, prime contractors must apply for a permit by Feb.1, and a permit must be obtained prior to any reconfiguration or disassembly.

TUMWATER — Beginning Jan. 1, prime contractors must obtain a permit from the state Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) prior to performing any work involving the operation, assembly, disassembly or reconfiguration of a tower crane — and L&I will open to those permit applications on Dec. 5.
