Ferguson backs $2.1B bridge and road repair bonanza

    Some of the 64-year-old Hood Canal Bridge’s maintenance needs are almost 15 years overdue and it serves as an essential connector for Jefferson and Kitsap counties.

    Gov. Bob Ferguson wants lawmakers to spend $2.1 billion on preserving and maintaining roads and bridges across Washington over the next 10 years — the largest infrastructure investment in two decades, if the Legislature agrees.
