BNSF overhauls counterweight over Salmon Bay

Framing and decking built beside and under the Salmon Bay bridge will support the installation of a new counterweight.

Those of us who travel the rail lines north out of Seattle to cross the Lake Washington ship canal have been wondering: What is the heavy industrial construction in the canal along the northern shoreline?
