SEATTLE — King County Exec. Girmay Zahilay proposed legislation on Wednesday to fund urgent repairs to roads and bridges damaged during December flooding.
The plan would temporarily expand the allowable uses of the Real Estate Excise Tax 2 (REET 2) so the county can address over $10 million in infrastructure damage, including major projects like the Baring Bridge replacement and the Edgewick Road slide repair.
