Alaska Airlines Global Training Center

Alaska Airlines’ sprawling new training center occupies 660,000 square feet at the former Boeing Longacres campus in Renton at 1301 S.W. 16th St.

The facility pairs cutting edge training technology — including full-motion flight simulators — with hands-on training spaces for the airline’s frontline employees.

Training spaces include a fully functional aircraft galley and a mock lobby and gate area.

The facility also has 89 classrooms, 34 conference rooms, social areas — including a cafe and bar fashioned after Alaska’s airport lounges — an auditorium for class graduations and events, a fitness center, and a mile-long walking trail.

Owner: Alaska Airlines

Architect: NBBJ

General contractor: Howard S. Wright
