The U.S. construction industry lost 11,000 jobs in February, continuing a months-long trend of contraction, according to new data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and analyzed by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).
Despite the monthly decline, overall construction employment remains slightly above last year's level, with the sector adding 42,000 jobs over the past 12 months — a modest 0.5% increase.
