Subcontractor event in Tacoma May 12

TACOMA — Registration is now open for Grit City Connect, a regional networking event aimed at linking subcontractors with prime contractors and public agencies across Tacoma.

The gathering — hosted by the city, Tacoma Public Schools, Metro Parks Tacoma and the Port of Tacoma — will take place May 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the STAR Center at 3873 S. 66th St. The event aims to create new opportunities for subcontractors in construction, facilities maintenance, and other public-works fields.
