Downtown tunnel to close for repairs

SEATTLE — Sound Transit crews will be at work this weekend with repairs and other system maintenance in the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel.

Work is set for Saturday and Sunday. Sound Transit says that crews will remove and replace a cracked rail at Pioneer Square Station, and complete additional projects to prepare for the opening of the Crosslake Connection on March 28.
