Cyclists rejoice! Pioneer Square bike lane gap is closing

A two-way protected bike lane will be added to the north side of Yesler Way, shown here at the intersection with First Avenue South.

Cyclists will soon have a dedicated safe and continuous route to take from downtown Seattle to the waterfront. The Seattle Department of Transportation is adding a two-way protected bike lane in Pioneer Square that will fill a 600-foot gap between the existing downtown protected bike lane network and the waterfront.
