Guemes ferry to go out for maintenance

ANACORTES, Skagit County — The Guemes Island Ferry will be out of service starting Monday for two weeks of scheduled maintenance.

The Skagit Board of County Commissioners awarded a $175,014 contract to Stabbert Marine & Industrial for pier-side maintenance on the ferry, which will focus on needed structural and mechanical upgrades to the vessel.
