AGC: Area construction jobs down amid mixed U.S. market

  • The Seattle-Bellevue metro area saw a 2% drop compared to the same time last year.

    Construction employment increased in a slim majority of U.S. metropolitan areas over the past year, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) of new federal employment data.

    Slightly more than half of metro areas added construction jobs between February 2025 and February 2026.
