Sound Transit digs into updated ST3 proposal

Sound Transit's board took up a new timeline Thursday for delivering regional light-rail projects amid a significant budget shortfall, pushing back some planned building work.

Resolution R2026-11 as it currently stands builds the West Seattle extension (without Avalon), the Ballard Extension to the Seattle Center only (but fully funds its design), the Tacoma Dome Link, Phase I and II of the Everett Link, South and North Link operations and maintenance facilities and the North Sounder Maintenance Base.
