Utility work starts for Stride S3 BRT

KENMORE — Drivers can expect two months of evening and overnight lane closures on state Route 522 starting Monday night as crews with Sound Transit's Stride S3 bus rapid transit line construct water and utility infrastructure at future Stride stations in Kenmore.

Ground was broken on Feb. 27 on the Kenmore to Bothell section of the S3 line, being built by Guy F. Atkinson Construction (with a contract not to exceed $51.3 million).
