Skanska team wins $1B subway job

NEW YORK — A joint venture of Skanska, Traylor Bros. and Walsh Construction (Walsh Group) has been selected by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to deliver design-build services for the $1.02 billion, Phase II of the Second Avenue Subway project.

The work will extend the Second Avenue Subway (Q line) to 125th Street, with new structures for the future 106th Street Station.
