Transit measure renewal includes money to support light-rail expansions

Ridership grew 6% last year on the First Hill Streetcar line, funded primarily by the transit measure.

The Seattle Transit Measure renewal proposed Tuesday by Mayor Katie B. Wilson targets increasing bus service by 100,000 trips a year, rebuilding streets and bus stops, funding Seattle's two streetcar lines — and $6.1 million to support upcoming light-rail projects in the city.
