Fremont park getting upgrades

SEATTLE — Seattle Parks and Recreation says construction on the expansion of A.B. Ernst Park in Fremont is set to begin in July.

The project, located at 719 N. 35th St. next to the Fremont Branch library, is expected to be completed in spring 2027. The city acquired a vacant lot west of the existing park in 2010 with the goal of adding open space for the growing community.
