Steel rises at $2B Las Vegas stadium

By JOURNAL STAFF

LAS VEGAS — The new $2 billion stadium for the Las Vegas Athletics is on schedule to open in 2028, according to Mortenson and McCarthy Building Companies, the joint venture leading construction.

Teams say that foundation work is complete, and vertical construction is advancing rapidly across the 9-acre site on the Las Vegas Strip.
