$2.4B RFQ for Calif. high-speed rail

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California's high-speed rail project is preparing for a major expansion, with the upcoming release of a request for qualifications for a civil works design-build contract for the Merced to Madera extension.

The estimated cost of the full contract is $2.4 billion.
