The U.S. construction industry added 11,000 jobs in June and 64,000 over the past year, according to an analysis of newly released federal employment data by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
Total construction employment reached 8.331 million workers in June, a 0.8% increase from a year earlier. By comparison, total nonfarm payroll employment grew just 0.3% during the same period.
