Old libraries get modern cooling

SEATTLE — The Seattle Public Library's Fremont and West Seattle branches will temporarily close from Aug. 9 through early November for the installation of modern, electric HVAC systems.

The branches' book returns will be locked, and their parking lots will be inaccessible for the duration of the project.
