AmEx's NYC HQ breaks ground

The 55-story, nearly 2 million-square-foot skyscraper — designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Silverstein Properties — is scheduled for completion in 2031.

NEW YORK — American Express has officially broken ground on its new global headquarters at 2 World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, the final commercial tower in the World Trade Center redevelopment.
