$230M award for Coast Guard job

CHARLESTON, S.C. — The U.S. Coast Guard has awarded a $230 million design-build contract for new operational support facilities at Coast Guard Base Charleston to Birmingham-based Brasfield & Gorrie LLC.

According to a June 10 Coast Guard news release, the project is part of a multi-year expansion plan aimed at strengthening the base's operational capabilities and supporting its growing fleet and workforce.
