$31M in grants to fund infrastructure

OLYMPIA — The state Department of Commerce has opened applications for the 2026 Connecting Housing to Infrastructure Program (CHIP). CHIP provides local governments with financial support for infrastructure associated with development projects.

Competitive grants of up to $2 million are available, with $25.8 million earmarked for eligible jurisdictions statewide and $5.2 million specifically for projects in eligible jurisdictions with populations less than 150,000.
