ABC construction backlog drops to lowest level since January

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) says its Construction Backlog Indicator shrank sharply in July, falling to 8.0 months and marking a 0.8-month decline from both June and the same time last year.

The drop, based on an ABC member survey conducted July 20-Aug. 4, reflects broad cooling across the industry.
