GLY Construction, a locally owned general contracting firm, has named Cesar Torres as its new chief financial officer and hired Nik Anderson, P.E. as MEP project executive.

Torres brings more than 26 years of construction finance experience, most recently serving as finance business partner at Mortenson. In his new role, he will help guide GLY's financial strategy, operations and growth. His expertise spans work-in-progress reporting, percentage-of-completion accounting, capital investments and strategic financial planning.

“Cesar's combination of technical expertise and people-first leadership is exactly what GLY needs as we continue to grow,” said Tyler Tonkin, president and CEO of GLY. “He doesn't just understand numbers and processes, he understands people.”

Anderson brings more than 15 years of experience leading engineering, construction and capital project delivery across advanced manufacturing, industrial, energy and technology sectors. He will support GLY's Advanced Technology market and industrial, alternative energy, and mission critical projects, strengthening the firm's team of MEP specialists.

Torres holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Central Washington University and serves as vice president and DEI champion for the Puget Sound Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Pacific Lutheran University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Washington and California.

GLY Construction was founded in 1967.
