SEATTLE —The Seattle City Council's Land Use and Sustainability Committee will hold a public hearing on Sept. 16 to consider legislation that would modify development standards for institutional uses in multifamily residential zones across the city.
Council Bill 121276 would allow institutions such as places of worship, childcare facilities and community centers to follow many of the same setback, structure width and depth standards that apply to residential development in those areas. The proposal would also eliminate existing dispersion requirements for institutional uses in multifamily zones.
