Boring to begin on Hudson Tunnel Project

    Two machines will excavate parallel tunnel tubes for about 5,100 feet through the Palisades Cliffs.

    Tunnel boring is set to begin on the Hudson Tunnel Project, marking the start of excavation for the first new rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River in more than a century.
