Runway work set for Boeing Field

SEATTLE — King County International Airport-Boeing Field is seeking public input on a draft environmental assessment for two projects to rehabilitate its main runway and bring a nearby taxiway into compliance with current federal standards.

The proposed work includes rehabilitating Runway 14R/32L, which was last rehabilitated in 2006 and is nearing the end of its useful pavement life. The airport also proposes relocating Taxiway B an additional 50 to 75 feet west of the runway because its current location does not meet Federal Aviation Administration standards.
