Design-build keeps Everett project on time

A new 41st Street interchange is a major component of an I-5 widening project in Everett. Crews are also widening or replacing 23 bridges.
WIDENING Interstate 5 in Everett is one of the biggest contracts in Washington transportation history, but the project director says the $263 million project is ahead of schedule and on budget thanks to the design-build model.
