Contractors, suppliers found ways to get around I-5 bridge collapse

    Sound Ocean Metal Fabricators rerouted these ramps destined for Australia to ship out of Vancouver, B.C., instead of Seattle.

    The Skagit Valley bridge collapse on May 23 created a void much bigger than the span that fell into the river. It left area contractors scrambling to meet deadlines and help their suppliers make deliveries.
